Responsibilities:

· Complete various field survey requests and measurements as assigned

· Provide layout for various linear infrastructure works

· Mark and label survey points and record field data according to job specifications

· Coordinate control network surveys, including traversing and levelling

· Conduct high accuracy tunnel survey (set of angles) and levelling loops for tunnel control network maintenance

· Setup TBM guidance systems (VMT & TACS), update guidance system daily and calibrate weekly

· Conduct surveys of existing surface features, below and above ground utilities

· Ensure survey equipment is maintained and calibrated monthly

· Maintain up to date and accurate as-built drawings

· Provide clear survey notes and sketches for each layout complete

· Survey monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation & reporting

Qualifications & Skills:

· Knowledge of the construction industry and construction specifications, methods and procedures

· Ability to read and accurately interpret construction drawings

· Experience with operating total station, GPS & other survey equipment

· Technical understanding of software such as AutoCAD, MicroSurvey

· Ability to understand project schedules critical path

· Minimum of 2+ years progressive experience, ideally related to site services and working in and around commercial/industrial type sites

· Team player with the ability to work within an integrated staff for field operations

· Effective oral and written communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work under pressure and work irregular hours (occasionally weekends or nights)

· Experience in tunnelling, microtunnelling & shaft construction surveying is considered a strong asset

· Valid Ontario driver’s license (G class)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Starting From $75,000.00 – 100,000.00 per year
