Technicore’s 4.6 meter diameter TBM broke through into the previously excavated corridor for the new high speed rail corridor to Lester Pearson Airport. Technicore mined the 180 meter long tunnel completely in shale and poured a 3.0 meter diameter concrete storm sewer as the finished project. The project is owned by Metrolinx. The general contractor is Kenaidan-Obayashi JV.
